#TBT | "Lies" (Zeds Dead Remix)

It was back in January of 2013 that Zeds Dead crafted their unbelievable remix of “Lies” by Marina and the Diamonds.

Coming off of their major remix of “Eyes on Fire” by Blue Foundation, this upcoming duo knew what they needed to do to craft a hit. They did just that. Starting off their remix of “Lies” off with minimal background noise, vocal chops and simple piano chords it really sets the tone for this rather eerie beginning. The production soon picks up in typical Zeds Dead fashion as they unleash what became their traditional dubstep sound.

Marina and the Diamonds already had a name for herself at this point in time. Her unique style of writing, emotion, and vocals were undeniably good. “Lies” by Marina and the Diamonds was already a hit song at the time as well so this provided the perfect opportunity for Zeds Dead to go in and add their magic touch. The song still hits me with a wave of euphoria within the first few seconds and I hope you feel the same exact way.
