If you’re a fan of the trap or future bass genres, you’re no doubt heard the name Jai Wolf before. This week we’re highlighting one of his songs “Drive” that received remixes from 4 incredibly talented producers.
This festival season has been massive for Jai Wolf. Coming off massive performances at big name festivals like Bumbershoot, Camp Bisco, Hangout, HARD Summer, Mad Decent Block Party, Panorama, Shaky Beats, Spring Awakening and many more! Jai Wolf himself has been a notable remixer of big names like Skrillex, Odesza, and Adventure Club. This article however, isn’t highlighting a Jai Wolf remix, it’s highlighting remixes of his own song “Drive”. While it’s only his second original track, the first being “Indian Summer” we think it’s his best one yet.
“Drive” was originally released earlier this spring on Odesza’s label ‘Foreign Family Collective‘ and has recently been given remakes by 4 amazing artists. Each artist gives their own take on this already impeccable track. Billboard slows the track down and gives a melodic, indie dance spin. KRNE takes the trap and flips it on its head giving it a future bass remake that is by far our favorite track out of the four. Attom reinvents “Drive” as a chillwave and electropop daydreaming melody. And last but certainly not least, RAC gives it another indie remix that is reminiscent of day time drives down the California coastline.
