Electric Zoo 2016 || Wristband Announcement

Electric Zoo 2016 is returning to New York City with an all new “Wild Island” theme, inspired by the animal kingdom. Similar to other festivals, Made and ID&T have chosen to utilize Intellix RFID wristbands, which serve as your ticket for entry and wallet for a cashless payment system on site. Because of the convenience and security they provide, these wristbands are increasing in popularity at large events. They have been seen at festivals like Coachella, Bonaroo, TomorrowWorld, and will be at Dancefestopia and Electric Zoo this year.

According to Electric Zoo’s website: The Wild Island is 100% cashless. Food, beverage, merchandise and anything that can be purchase on-site must be purchased using your wristband. Everything at Electric Zoo is priced in EZ Bucks, the official currency of the festival!

Some helpful tips for activating your wristband and navigating Electric Zoo’s cashless system:

There will be many locations at Electric Zoo to fill your wristband with with EZ Bucks using cash and credit or debit cards. If you have already received your wristband in the mail, you can activate it now, and load EZ Bucks onto your wristband with a debit or credit card. You also have the option to allow your wristband to reload automatically when your wristband falls below a certain balance.

If you’re picking up your ticket at will call, you must bring your printed purchase confirmation to receive your wristband!

When activating your wristband online, you have the option to add multiple wristbands to one account. This is called a “shared family account”, and all ticket holders will be able to make purchases using the balance in the same account. You will not be able to separate a bill, or specify spending amounts for each wristband. If you bought multiple tickets, creating an individual account for each wristband is recommended.

Any EZ Bucks loaded with a credit or debit card that are not spent at the festival will be refunded.

Electric Zoo recommends that you do not put on your wristband until the day of the festival, as it locks in place instantly, and may become inactive.
