So, its safe to say that Dannic‘s “Light The Sky” has become a summer favorite this past season. I mean, it’s hard to deny a track that is saturated with positive vibes and catchy lyrics. “I am going to get high on life tonight”, “Lift me up till I transcend” and “I am gonna light my sky on fire tonight” are just a few of these lyrics in this feel good track and you can clearly see why this would be a staple for main stage sets all over the planet. And with every great track there comes the desire to remix it and make it even greater than its original form. Under the Revealed Recordings label “Light The Sky” has become the template for remixes from 4 very talented artists. And man, do we love them! First, let’s brush up on the original before we get into the remixes and decide which one we love most!

Alright, now that I have you up to speed, let’s take a listen to all the remixes which include the musical stylings of Charming Horses, Crystal Lake, Rob & Jack, and Devin Wild.

First up we have the Charming Horses rendition. A very chill example with a groove that this track was meant for. It kind of makes me want to grab someone I love and dance close with them on the dance floor all the while getting lost in the rhythm as Charming Horses leads us on his waves of progression. Moving on we have Crystal Lake. This remix begins with an infectious swag that quickly leads into a build that prepares its listeners for a festival drop like no other. The energy has been amped up and Crystal Lake beckons us to rock out to their exciting new rework, main stage banger style. You can’t help but jump out of your seat and dance to this one! This may be my favorite of the lot.
But, look out! Rob & Jack answer back with their “Light The Sky” vision, adding an infectious Latin house flare with some brand new elements that this track was made for! This version is incredibly fun and if there was ever the perfect summer remix, this would be the one! But, wait, we still have one last take on the tune and this one comes from Devin Wild. And what direction does Devin Wild take? Hardstyle of course! If you are gonna remix a track you might as well throw a hardstyle twist on it and call it a day. The man who brought us the track “Compound”, which was highly praised by Revealed’s own Hardwell, tops off our list of “Light The Sky” remixes with a version that stays true to the good vibe lyrics but pumps some serious bass through your brain, melting your face in the process!
So which remix is your favorite? Personally, I just can’t choose just one. It’s going to have to be both Crystal Lake and Rob & Jack for the win! But, no matter who we think wears the crown, every single producer who had their hand in remixing this track did a wonderful job. Thank you for making a good track even better!
