Steve Aoki’s Releases “Bring The Funk Back!”

Bring the Funk Back

Steve Aoki is one of those artists that never cease to amaze me. He is a Grammy-nominated international producer and DJ, created the widely known record label and apparel line, Dim Mak, and has the uncanny ability to inspire innovative ventures in every area of electronic dance music. Steve Aoki’s latest masterpiece is no exception. “Bring the Funk Back” is the third and newest addition of the “4OKI” EP series which is set to release on July 29, 2016.

“Bring the Funk Back” is a track and video that follows the story of one crazy night out in Los Angeles and the adventures that ensue. Each element of the track and video are masterfully entwined; they showcase the incredible talent of video director, LA-based visual artist David “Yarvo” Yarovesky as well as the awesome collaborative effort from Steve Aoki and Reid Stefan. What they’ve created is an extremely fun track that could easily fit in at both club dance floors and the underground scene.

Curious of what happened in the story line before this third installment? Watch Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the video series to prepare yourself for the fourth and final 4OKI episode which will be released on July 29! This unique four-part music video series stars a variety of artists and appearances including supermodel Shaun Ross, vlogger Malibu Dollface, Autoerotique, and Shaun Frank as they venture through LA in high fashion outfits from The Well, Frenemy, and the Dim Mak Collection.

This project is certainly a reflection of diverse talents and passions coming together to create something magnificent! Look for the full 4OKI project on July 29 which will be released alongside Aoki’s new electro house track, “Kids,” (produced with Danish sensation MORTEN), as well as the finale video piece. Steve Aoki has proved yet again how talented of a powerhouse he is. With this bar now set this high, I can’t wait to see what comes next!
