Insomniac’s Discovery Project has enlisted the San Francisco duo 219 Boys for their 13th release in the series titled “Check Mate.” Featuring limited vocals and a driving bass line, “Check Mate” blends together old school vibes with more modern elements. Known for their heavy bass house sound, 219 Boys have taken the scene by storm as of late riding their recent release on AC Slater’s Night Bass titled “Who Got It.” Along with their past releases on respected labels – Perfect Driver and Audiophile XXL, 219 Boys never cease to impress. Garnering sizable crowd at their EDC Las Vegas 2016 set, 219 Boys have established their place within the Insomniac family having previously played Beyond Bay Area 2015 & Escape 2014. Back in the bay, they’ve dominated SF nightlife and have had the honor of opening up for artists – Disclosure, Gorgon City, Motez, and Low Steppa to name a few.
