Today, Insomniac Events released the full scheduling for the 5th Annual EDMbiz Conference & Expo! On both Wednesday and Thursday next week attendees will be hearing some of the most important movers and shakers in the electronic music industry discuss a wide variety of topics. Whether you’re checking out a keynote artist like Armin van Buuren or Moby, or a panel concerning the future of women in dance music, the amount of knowledge that will be passed on is immense. I personally plan on catching the first ever keynote from Pasquale Rotella, and the panel on the resurgence of trance has also piqued my interest! The conference intends on focusing on three cornerstones: Experience, Technology and Aspiration.

The new venue has provided more space for the conference that is now set to include a second stage of programming. The second stage, hosted by Senior Editor, Dance/Electronic at Billboard, Matt Medved will feature quick-fire discussions, unique demonstrations, and fireside chats. Panels and discussions at EDMbiz 2016 will tackle the topics and issues at the forefront for anyone looking to break into the dance music industry. Yet another panel that I will definitely be attending is the presentation by Nielsen, EDM is Dead, Long Live EDM! (EDM’s Value to Brands and Live Events). Nielsen will be discussing the greatly exaggerated “death of EDM” and focus on the value EDM fans bring to consumer brands and the live event industry. (That’s right, EDM isn’t dead, even though reading sensationalist blogs would lead you to believe otherwise).
