Sunset Music Festival will officially be returning to Raymond James Stadium in sunny Tampa, Florida on May 28-29, 2016! The festival has released the official lineup for the 2016 edition, and I must admit it is stacked. SMF wasn’t lying when they were boasting one of the best lineups in their history.
SMF’s four major headlining artists performing Saturday, May 28 are Hardwell and Galantis; while Sunday, May 29 will host Jack Ü and The Chainsmokers. After having attended last year, I’m definitely going to be returning again this year. For the scene in Tampa, which usually tends to be a highly trap/dubstep scene. This year will definitely showcase both genres with Borgore, Bro Safari, Funcase, Jauz, Marshmello, NGHTMRE, Party Favor, Snails, and Zomboy.
Outside of the bass music scene, other genres will be represented fairly well, which is a breath of fresh air. Tropical house will be making an appearance at Sunset Music Festival this year with Thomas Jack, Matoma, and Sam Feldt. Other artists performing include trance legend Ferry Corsten, Seven Lions (one of my favorites), Tritonal, Borgeous, Cash Cash, Claptone, the Dirtybird himself Claude VonStroke, Ilan Bluestone, Jai Wolf, Justin Martin, Lane 8, Mija, Vanic, 3LAU, Andrew Bayer, Anna Lunoe, and Audien.
