Throwback Thursday: The Chemical Brothers – Block Rockin’ Beats

Even after being recorded 19 years ago, Block Rockin’ Beats by The Chemical Brothers continues to be an unforgettable track that unlocks memories of our youths and energies. “Back with another one of those block rockin’ beats” is a lyric that after hearing it just once, you instantly remember where you where when you first heard it. Perhaps it was Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, The Waterboy, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 or even Now 36, this song was everywhere. It was a frenzy whenever this track was played. With a guitar loop (eerily similar to Pink Floyd’s Let There Be More Light), the high-paced drums, and classic Big Beat synths, Block Rockin’ Beats is forever in our hearts with it’s timeless rhythm. Even their music video captures the rebel in each of us. Check it out below, and take a drive down memory lane with style!
