So you think festivals in the United States are pretty intense? This week’s Watch It Wednesday takes you across the Atlantic Ocean to Defqon.1, the weekend long premier hard dance event in all of Europe. While events here in the states continue to focus on multiple genres and styles over the course of the weekend, the Europeans have figured out that it is perfectly fine to have events dedicated to one sub genre. Q-dance has many events around the world, but outside of Qlimax, Defqon.1 is hands down the most well known. They not only host a Defqon.1 in Europe, but there is a Defqon.1 in Australia and hopefully they will find enough support to have one here in the United States.
Their theatrics begin with the opening ceremony and do not end until the closing ceremony.
