deadmau5 returns to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for two nights filled with epic beats and eclectic support from Callie Reiff, Lights, Getter, and i_o!
In Morrison, Colorado, cut into the crimson hues of the lower Rocky Mountains, the days following Halloween this year belong to Joel Zimmerman, aka deadmau5. Having already announced that he would make Red Rocks Amphitheatre part of his 2019 North American Cube V3 Tour for two nights, there’s now more to be excited about with some mau5trap artists adding to the fun. Joining deadmau5 will be a diverse supporting cast, including artists like Callie Reiff who will be opening both nights along with Lights. i_o will take the stage the first night, with Getter providing support for night two.
Callie Reiff is fresh off an August release of her stirring See Through EP and has provided remixes for big names like Sofi Tukker, Alison Wonderland, and Kayzo. Lights provide an alt-pop flair to the night. She brings a bit of intrigue as to how the performance will be while surrounded by more standard DJ sets, but if you loved tracks like “Drama Free” and her take on “Raise Your Weapon” from UMF then you’re in for a treat.
Direct support for deadmau5 on the first night comes from i_o, who has quickly risen through the ranks and will bring his heavy-hitting sound to Colorado. One of the most intriguing aspects of the show, besides which helmet deadmau5 will don, will be what sort of support set Getter will supply during day two. The LA-based producer recently concluded his Visceral tour that was a departure of his original sound, so whether he will continue to showcase this developed musicality or return to his roots for one night remains to be seen.
