Bass innovators Eprom and G Jones have released “Daemon Veil” on Deadbeats, a follow up to their 2017 collaborative album Acid Disk.
There isn’t anything out there quite like Eprom or G Jones, and they prove that once again on their latest single “Daemon Veil“. Coming from the West Coast underground bass scene, Eprom is one of experimental bass music’s most well-known artists and has added to his library with recent collaborations alongside Flume and Claude VonStroke. Critically acclaimed bass artist G Jones is coming off an appearance at Porter Robinson’s Second Sky Music Festival following the release of his album The Ineffable Truth in 2018.
Fans of weird bass music all around the world rejoiced when these two released “Acid Disk” in 2017, a collaborative EP released on G Jones’ label, Illusory Records. It was well overdue that these two masterminds release a project together, and the result was absolutely incredible. Now, for the first time since “Acid Disk”, Eprom and G Jones have collaborated once again on “Daemon Veil”, a brand new single on Deadbeats.
“Daemon Veil” is available now on all platforms. Stream it now on Spotify below and read on for some of my thoughts on the release!

“Daemon Veil” starts with a long, drawn-out intro with ambient noises that set the stage for the bass journey that comes next.
About a minute and a half into the song the tone changes quickly, with crazy drum programming, sound design, and vocal sampling that these two artists are known for. The ravey synth reminds me of a bit of “666-Acid” from their EP, and the pure creativity of these two results in a new, totally unique release.
This “drop” gets more creative as the track goes on, with super complex production that only G Jones and Eprom can flawlessly pull off. The vibe changes again for the last few minutes, with a beautiful and interesting progression leading up to the end of the 5-minute track. With several live appearances remaining for this summer, Eprom and G Jones continue to make waves at the top of the experimental bass industry.
