Eric Prydz has announced that he will not be heading Miami Music Week or Ultra Music Festival this year due to an acute medical condition that has made him unable to travel or perform.
While electronic music lovers continue to descend upon the city of Miami for Ultra Music Festival and Miami Music Week festivities, the hype surrounding the upcoming parties has grown to an immense size. Those who were hoping to catch Eric Prydz over the course of the week will need to find new plans as today, he took to social media to inform his fans that he’ll be unable to make it to Florida for his shows.
In a statement on Twitter, Eric Prydz said: “I am really sorry but due to an acute medical condition I am unable to travel or perform in Miami this week. I am truly gutted to miss any shows but especially Miami as this is one of my favourite times of the year.”
This means that his standalone Pryda show that was slated for Wynwood, along with his b2b performance at Ultra Music Festival with Adam Beyer will both be canceled. Those who purchased tickets to the sold-out show at Wynwood Factory will be given a full refund.
We’re sad to hear the news but wish Eric Prydz the best in his recovery.
