What was your first electronic music event?
Lights All Night 2013
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
Kaskade was a headliner that year along with Deadmau5 and I had never seen either of them and figured that was my chance.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
Just seeing Kaskade play in general because earlier that year, one of his songs helped me not to commit suicide. So seeing him play in my city that same year was a big deal for me.
What is your favorite festival or event?
Definitely either Middlelands (Rest In Peace for now) or Electric Forest.
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
It has to be a tie between “Sun Models” by Odesza or Ekali’s remix of “Meet In The Middle”.
Who are your favorite artists?
Ekali, Odesza, Manila Killa, Jai Wolf, RL Grime, Graves, Rezz, Illenium, and PhaseOne.
What are your favorite genres?
Definitely all over the board with this, Dubstep, House, Drum and Bass, Melodic, and more.
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I’m not sure that I have one. I’ve been taking steps in the past couple of years to make working in the industry my full-time job so maybe that.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
Not much except I’m all for meeting new people at shows and festivals and that I like to look out for everyone as much as I can!
I also am the creator/admin for a Facebook group for all RL Grime fans called “RL’s NOVA Team”, the manager for the festival/large event team for Afterdark Dallas, and an intern for Graves!
