This August, HARD Summer will return to The Speedway in Fontana, California, with a reimagined edition of HARD’s flagship festival.
After previously announcing the dates for HARD Summer’s 2018 edition, HARD Events has now revealed that the brand’s flagship festival will return to The Speedway in Fontana, California from August 4-5, 2018. This year’s edition will mark the festival’s first since the departure of Gary Richards to LiveStyle.
The festival’s return to The Speedway will be marked by quite a few logistical and layout-related improvements, all of which seek to better the event experience for attendees. First and foremost, fans can expect to see brand new stage designs, all of which will be moved to the grass infield for maximum comfort.
Aside from moving the stages, HARD Events has planned a number of other improvements to the festival’s footprint.
In order to better accommodate entry to HARD Summer, entrances will be moved closer to parking lots, and additional entry lanes will seek to expedite lines and allow attendees to get into the festival faster than ever before.
HARD Summer’s 2018 edition will also feature new and improved features for the VIP experience, including dance areas at every single stage and summer fun-themed features exclusive to VIP attendees. This year’s event will also hand over venue, health and safety, and logistical operations to Insomniac Events, with Insomniac’s Ground Control, medical safety, and production teams playing a key role in the success of HARD Summer this year.
Although the lineup for HARD Summer’s 2018 edition has not yet been announced, past editions of the festival have always featured the best of the best of electronic music, and this year’s event is sure to be no different. 2017 saw performances by DJ Snake, Bassnectar, Claude VonStroke, and What So Not, along with many others.
