Last year was a busy one for deadmau5 and the mau5trap family on a variety of different levels. From the domination of the festival and club circuit to countless releases that blew us away it was nearly impossible to avoid the influence of the label in 2017. Capping off the massive year came mau5trap’17, a 30-track compilation that showed off some of the best of the music put out last year.
Marked by artists that have been with mau5trap for years while also showing off some recent additions to the label, this compilation is stocked full of epic tunes. Whether you fell in love with artists like ATTLAS and No Mana this year or discovered rising stars like Notaker, there is a bit of everything on this release.
Also featured on the compilation are tracks like “Relax” by REZZ and “Iconoclast” by BlackGummy which both left a lasting impression on us in 2017. Of course, the compilation wouldn’t be complete without some tunes from the mau5 himself, and the inclusion of “Polaris“, “Long Walk off a Short Pier”, and “Legendary” made for a perfect fit.
