What was your first electronic music event?

It all started at Electric Daisy Carnival in San Bernardino, CA in 2003. My love for electronic dance music and culture began there.

What/who influenced you to attend your first event?

At the time, I had recently discovered Happy Hardcore/UK Hardcore and was intrigued by the fast beats and uplifting melodies. I started joining rave forums like CandyKids.net, 4Raverz, Ravemedia.net, Plurlife.com and discovered a ton of new friends I had yet to meet.

Every party I went to, I met more and more people from the forums and ended up becoming really good friends with them and we’d coordinate meetups and hang out and party together.

What is your favorite festival or event?

Electric Daisy Carnival. :) No surprise there huh? Not because it was my first event, but it’s been a hell of a ride watching Insomniac grow and turn EDC from a small one-day party into a massive three-day music festival.

Insomniac does not disappoint. I haven’t missed an EDC since I was introduced to the scene, it’s kind of like a tradition. :) Tomorrowland will be my next mission.

What is one moment from an event that was special and why?

That one time Above & Beyond and many other artists light the stage with rainbows in solidarity to those who lost their lives in the Pulse Nightclub Incident in Orlando.

I felt weird attending the festival that year when something so tragic happened just a few short days prior but seeing how our community came together, it reminded me just how strong and special our culture really is.

What is your favorite electronic song and why?

Aly & Fila – Unbreakable

I can’t really explain it. Music is felt within, and when I hear this song, I feel unbreakable. ;)

Who are your favorite artists?

Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Porter Robinson, 3LAU, Deadmau5, Seven Lions, Andrew Rayel, Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate, BT, ATB, Aly & Fila, Kaskade, Daft Punk, Galantis, Markus Schulz, Zedd, Duke Dumont, etc… :D

What are your favorite genres?

Trance, House, & Electro.

What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?

I haven’t been to as many events as I use too but I’m still as passionate as I was when I started. The EDM culture has taught me how to be a better version of myself and treating everyone with respect.

Some say PLUR is dead but there’s already so much negativity in this world, we can easily change the world if we’re just nice to each other. It’s as simple as that.

Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?

People tell me all the time that my kandi skills are strong so I just recently started an Etsy shop as a hobby.

Feel free to check it out. :) I do custom pieces of EDM, Stranger Things, Pokémon, Horror Flicks, South Park, Superheroes, Disney, and life!
