Countdown 2017 is back for their fourth edition featuring headlining sets from Porter Robinson and Deadmau5!
Insomniac just announced today that not only will their New Year’s Eve Event, Countdown, will be returning this year but also dropped the first two headliners! That’s right, Porter Robinson and Deadmau5 will be bringing in 2018 in style at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino for two nights filled with amazing beats! Drawing over 70,000 attendees over two days in 2016, headliners danced the year away at three massive stages, checked out art installations, and celebrated at the largest NYE event on the west coast!
Entering its fourth year, Insomniac’s Countdown has stunned many already today with the announcement of Porter Robinson playing on December 30, and the debut of Deadmau5 at the event to bring in 2018 proper. The rest of the lineup is set to come as we get closer, and if it is anything like past editions of the event it will surely be impressive as ever. Last year, artists ranging from NGHTMRE and Diplo to A-Trak and RL Grime brought 2017 in the right way, so stay tuned for more details!
Early bird passes go on sale Friday, August 25 at 12 PM PT for a limited time only. Two-day general admission tickets will be available for $159 plus fees. Additional ticketing information is available at CountdownNYE.com.
The announcement of deadmau5 is actually more shocking than many of the other announcements Insomniac has dropped lately, as up until this year when he played an Insomniac Warehouse Event it was assumed that there was a rocky relationship between the mau5 and Insomniac Events. When hosting an impromptu Q&A on Instagram earlier this month, Pasquale was asked questions about Deadmau5 playing future Insomniac shows and Rotella mentioned that there were some announcements in the works. It sure looks like this was the announcement we’ve been waiting for!
