Welcome to The Landing, EDM Identity’s weekly post highlighting fresh tracks you may have missed!
Since the introduction of streaming sites like SoundCloud, YouTube, and Spotify, as well as release mediums like Bandcamp available for artists to release on, new music is hitting us faster than ever. The abundance of releases can almost be overwhelming, as the tools for production and releasing music are easily accessible for anyone around the world. We know that it is a difficult task to keep up with every release from every artist, so we’re here to assist you with some gems that “land” in our inboxes. In every edition of The Landing, we intend to highlight some tracks that you may have missed, or perhaps shine a light on new music for you to fall in love with.
This week’s edition of The Landing features fresh tracks from BYOR, AMTRAC, Amba Shepherd, WYNE, illstrtd, Deorro, Delta Heavy, and HXV!

Zulu Records releases Byor’s Body Groove
Byor – Facebook | SoundCloud | Twitter
Zulu Records – Facebook | SoundCloud | Twitter | YouTube
Classic House has never gone out of style. “Body Groove,” the latest from BYOR out now on Zulu Records is pure class. The break takes a nostalgic feel and meshes it deftly with modern production style. The beat grooves are notably classic – shakers and claps ride along a smooth groove in the high hats, kick, and snares. The hook synthesizer is equally infectious – grabbing the ear with a melodic flair I’d expect in something like the 1980’s classic “Walk Like An Egyptian.” The vocal cut also screams old school Hip-Hop, which further helps capture the attention of listeners. Oh, tie in that siren blast of a drop and we can’t wait to find another groove this Spring during festival season. The track’s even already had support from Gorgon City and Going Deeper. Amba goes deep with “Wide Awake & Dreaming”
Amba Shepherd – Facebook | SoundCloud | Twitter
I fell in love with Amba‘s sultry voice years ago when I heard her in a track called “Finally.” No surprise she still captures my ears despite the years and the high level of success she’s had since the early days – what with working with Guiseppe Ottaviani, Mark Sixma, Afrojack, and Hardwell. “Wide Awake & Dreaming” represents the second track released under her own name, though it was collaboratively produced with Tommy Rocks. Released on her label Superrlativ, the track is beautifully deep. Soulful vibes, Deep House production sensibilities, and a boom to the low end bring the track superbly together. Amba’s voice even has this haunting feeling to it, and it honestly shines in the mix. We’ve embedded the official video below for viewing pleasure, and the track is out now, including an official remix from the boys of Inpetto.

HXV (Heroes X Villains) is back and better than ever with a fresh tune “Where Do We Go From Here”.
HXV – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
HXV is kicking off his releases for 2017 with the massive trap track “Where Do We Go From Here”, which sucks listeners in with its heavy bassline and distorted sounds. This legendary trap producer is on a mission of self-discovery with this tune, and the soul-crushing feel that goes back to his roots as a fan of artists like NIN and Depeche Mode. Definitely not your typical festival trap style track, it’s a clear departure from the more hyped up sound and is geared for an entirely different environment.

Delta Heavy drops a unique video for track “Kaleidoscope”!
Delta Heavy – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
While the track “Kaleidoscope” represents a softer side of Delta Heavy, it doesn’t change the quality of the tune that has been released. This vocal-centric track was granted a fantastic video to tell a story and bring life to the track in a new way. Focused on a cardboard alien, it follows the ET on its journey on the planet and the dangers that come with it. Finding both fun on the playground and the terror of how cardboard is treated on earth, the stop-motion animation is a fresh style to see in an era of CGI and point-of-view videos.

Deorro drops new track “Rise and Shine” off his soon to be released debut artist album Good Evening!
Deorro – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Blending electro swing elements with a melbourne bounce feel, “Rise and Shine” is a fantastic track to start your day with or even keep the dancing going all night. The track shows off the diversity that Deorro has as an artist, and we cannot wait to see what is fully in store with more coming on his album release. Whether you’re rocking to the beat, getting down with a dance partner, or just simply enjoying the swing-styled vocals, this tune is definitely one to add to your collection as soon as possible!

illstrtd takes it back to the 90’s with a flip of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity”!
illstrtd – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
We simply cannot get enough of this fresh remix of “No Diggity” by illstrtd. Bringing a modern flip to a true classic, he works the track properly and brings the R&B vibes too. Released as part of his #throwbacktothe90s mixtape, illstrtd is set on breathing new life into tracks that bring you back to a different era of music. Of course, you should all be keeping an eye on this mixtape for future additions, including one next week from us here at EDM Identity!
WYNE bring a fresh energitic track with “Lubiana”!
WYNE – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Coming straight from Ensis Records, WYNE’s latest release brings a tribal beat and quality groove with it to really get dancefloors going. WYNE has gained popularity as of late, with “Lubiana” receiving play from quite a few notable names and support from this growing label that has been bringing some quality tunes too. Definitely keep an ear out for this dynamic Italian duo, as they are about to make waves in the electro house scene!
AMTRAC debuts record label with new EP, 1987!
AMTRAC – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
We’re closing out this week’s edition of The Landing with an EP from AMTRAC, who will be taking the stage at CRSSD Festival Spring this weekend. His latest venture is a record label, OPENERS, with the 1987 EP being the first release on the imprint. Definitely a more vibey sound, this EP is the epitome of what we love to hear at a beach party during sunset and is definitely a great way to kick off those Spring and Summer vibes. The four track EP is a dream that serenades you into electronic music bliss, it’s perfect to dance to, great to relax to, and just all around quality music.
