Techno artist Charles D launches his new imprint KONKRTE by releasing “VIBE,” a hypnotic collaboration with rising star TMPR.
Coming out of New York’s underground electronic music scene, Charles D delivers cutting-edge techno marked by driving intensity and meticulous precision. Combining big room sensibility with a raw edge, he has become a trusted tastemaker whose tracks receive support from luminaries like Adam Beyer, Eric Prydz, and Camelphat. Along the way, his sleek productions have also found home in some of the most respected imprints such as Drumcode, Factory 93, and Arcane.
Charles D started 2025 strong with consecutive Top 10 releases on Drumcode. Now, he is channeling that momentum into shaping and curating his sound through his new label, KONKRTE. This fresh chapter marks a turning point for Charles D as he steps beyond his traditional role as a DJ and producer to build a space where his music can be unfiltered and honest. For him, KONKRTE embodies his vision to cultivate a distinct identity while nurturing a community with its own unique voice.
I started KONKRTE because I felt it was time to take the next step — to create a platform where I could release music that truly resonates with me, on my own terms. It’s about having the freedom to put out records when the moment feels right, without compromise. While KONKRTE naturally reflects my sound and vision, the goal is for it to grow into something much bigger — a label with its own identity, sound, and community over time. My hope is for KONKRTE to grow into a recognizable brand that connects people to electronic music and rave culture through a strong sense of community — and, of course, through great music. In the years ahead, I’d love to see us host our own events here in New York and build something that feels authentic to the scene we’re a part of.
