Charlotte de Witte has yet to share a title for the 11-track album slated for release this fall.
Charlotte de Witte is a force in the EDM world, having taken her accessible brand of techno and trance to festival stages far and wide. At long last, the Belgian superstar DJ and producer will release her debut studio-length album on November 7.
Taking to Instagram, de Witte shared the news and touched on how meaningful the milestone will be for her. “I am beyond excited to announce that after 15 years of DJing, I’m going to release my first album,” she said. Although she stopped short of giving its title, de Witte disclosed that it would consist of 11 tracks and chart the course of her career in electronic music.
For now, fans can look forward to the release of the album’s lead single, which de Witte said will get announced next week. No further details surrounding this track are available at the time of writing.
Charlotte de Witte fell in love with DJing at the age of 16. Only two years later, in 2011, she won a contest to open the Tomorrowland Mainstage — the first techno DJ to score such a billing. By 2017, she was one of the most buzzed-about artists in the genre, with a litany of EP releases to her name.
As with a number of other artists in the most popular echelons of techno, de Witte’s style has come to incorporate more and more elements of trance. It remains to be seen how this dichotomy between dance music styles plays out in her first longform body of work.
Keep an eye on Charlotte de Witte’s social media channels as more details surrounding her debut studio-length album are set to surface next week.
