ZOF’s ‘The Family Of Things’ are the Dream Collaborations We’ve Been Longing For

ZOF has crafted the perfect dream team, DMVU and Baby Weight, on her The Family Of Things EP — out now on Dome of Doom!

ZOF emerged on the scene with a bold vision, one that has propelled her to achieve milestones that many artists only dream of. What makes her journey even more thrilling is that she’s barely scratching the surface of her potential. The world gets to watch her artistic evolution in real time.

Her whimsical essence quickly captured the attention of significant imprints like Box of Cats and Desert Hearts, solidifying that ZOF’s art is not only unique but deserving of the spotlight. Among her standout accomplishments are her debut album, Nostalgic Premonitions, which offered a glimpse into her captivating vocal talents, and the unforgettable guest mix she delivered for us last year — an experience we still can’t stop raving about.

Now, ZOF is back on Dome of Doom delivering a two-track EP: The Family Of Things. This EP not only showcases ZOF, but it also features two fan favorites: DMVU and Baby Weight. This EP has the dream team we never knew we needed — but now, life would be so bland without them and their sounds. Don’t deprive your ears of the magic. Listen to The Family Of Things right now.

Me, DMVU, and Baby Weight are all spread across the country, so this EP is really an extended family affair, hence the name The Family Of Things. Both tracks are very vulnerable and emotive and reflective of how we as artists very much become each other’s chosen family through creating music together. It’s a very intimate thing to create music with another person. When it works well it’s almost like you have a psychic connection to one another and it creates something larger than the sum of its parts.

ZOF

Glimmers of chimes gently fill the air as the title track begins, instantly revealing that ZOF and DMVU are a match made in musical heaven. Her vocals effortlessly capture your heart, while their morphed composition lifts even the most lost soul with its beauty. Midway through, delightful surprises unfold with an assortment of breakbeats, guiding the track through an evolving journey that’s impossible to resist diving into headfirst.

Baby Weight and ZOF take center stage with “This Home We Built,” a track that showcases ZOF’s vocal brilliance once again as she speaks the truth of the human experience. This bop is the perfect anthem. Its catchy lyrics and infectious soundscapes make you want to grab your best friend, hold hands, and skip around while belting out the words at the top of your lungs.

Listen to The Family of Things on your Spotify, and follow ZOF on her socials to see what she’s up to next!
