BLOND:ISH Showcases Global Sounds on ‘Never Walk Alone’

in New Releases

BLOND:ISH makes a bold statement on her second album, Never Walk Alone, blending dance music, her mission, and eco-innovation.

Few acts in house music operate on the level of BLOND:ISH, managing more than just her artist career but also her foundation Bye Bye Plastic and her label Abracadabra. With her second studio album, Never Walk Alone, she continues to expand her impact, releasing a collection of tunes that reflects both her global influences and her mission-driven approach to music. While singles like the title track of the album were released in late 2024, the full album, which is out now via Insomniac Records, delivers a cohesive statement on connection and self-empowerment.

It is difficult to pin Never Walk Alone to a single genre. The album fuses dance rhythms with a diverse range of global sounds. Inspired by heartfelt conversations with her fans, BLOND:ISH crafted this record as a way to explore self-friendship and inner strength. Her belief of “attention plus intention equals manifestation” runs throughout the project, encouraging listeners to find purpose and positivity through music.

The 12-track album brings together collaborators from across the globe, each adding a unique voice to the album’s message. The title track, created with UK artist Stevie Appleton, serves as the album’s central statement, highlighting its themes of unity and resilience. Zimbabwe’s Bantu lends his talents to “Can’t Let You Go,” while Nigeria’s Tay Iwar joins for “Kimbe,” a song that blends afro rhythms with deep melodic elements. “Different Way” features Brazil’s Zeeba, while “Shout It Out” is a collaboration with Australia/UK duo Night Tales.

A key aspect of this release is its commitment to sustainability. The physical edition of the album is pressed on BioVinyl, an innovative material made primarily from biogenic waste like used cooking oil. Nearly free of petroleum and designed to cut carbon emissions by 90 percent, it is a significant step toward BLOND:ISH’s long-term mission of reducing waste within the music industry.
