As the winter season approaches, Space Yacht releases the second volume of Tune Reactor Winter Sampler featuring Macca Grills, Fantom Freq, Rankz, Tea Coyote, and more.
To close out the year, Space Yacht Records has released its second Tune Reactor Winter Sampler, a head-bobbin’ compilation that melds genres from bass and house to electro-pop.
Space Yacht founders LondonBridge (real name Rami Perlman) and Henry Lu‘s livestream A&R show Tune Reactor has been on the air for over 300 episodes, spanning over four years. Tune Reactor Winter Sampler Vol. 2 compiles tracks that were exclusively discovered on the Tune Reactor show, beginning with a melodic, floaty, head bobbin’ banger, “Don’t Stop” by Macca Grills featuring addictive vocals by Jaime Deraz. Macca Grills touts their output as “music you can vibe to” in their Instagram bio, and they deliver just that.
Next up, Fantom Freq keeps the upbeat vibes on the second track, “In The Mood,” featuring Griz-O. RANKZ feeds the listener some cerebral samples followed by satisfying, rhythmic wubs that make brains go “brrrrrrr” on the track “Gun Fingaz.” The compilation switches gears for the fourth track as Tea Coyote’s nostalgic, relatable, distinctly human lyricism fills the airwaves on “Dopamine.”
Tune Reactor Winter Sampler Vol. 2 is a versatile collection that can be enjoyed in the car, doing laundry, or just plain old dancing around with a warm beverage on a Sunday morning. LondonBridge described the character of the compilation, saying, “95% of what we are signing these days comes from our livestreams, but the tracks on the Winter Sampler are more for listening pleasure, as opposed to being strictly for the club or festival setting.”
Space Yacht has grown from humble yet fierce beginnings as a weekly Tuesday night party in Los Angeles just over a decade ago to a globally renowned, multi-faceted brand. While its events stand at the forefront, Space Yacht continues to water its LA roots with secret lineups and original parties, sifting through new music and amplifying fresh sounds on its Tune Reactor livestream show.
