Marshmello and SVDDEN DEATH to Embark on 2024 MELLODEATH Tour

SVDDEN DEATH and Marshmello first performed together at EDC Las Vegas 2023.

Last month’s edition of EDC Las Vegas played host to an unlikely onstage union: Marshmello and SVDDEN DEATH. The former artist’s buoyant branding collided with the macabre themes of the latter to result in a perfect storm that looks to sweep the US as the MELLODEATH Tour, which runs from April 4 – 26.

The MELLODEATH Tour will kick off with an event at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado — a bass head hotbed in its own right. From there, SVDDEN DEATH and Marshmello will stop in Chicago to perform at the Aragon Ballroom on April 6 before touching down at The Armory in Minneapolis on April 13. After nearly two weeks off, the tour will conclude with a show at The Factory in Dallas on April 26.

SVDDEN DEATH (real name Danny Howland) first discovered dubstep courtesy of Skream and Rusko in 2008. Almost a decade later, his project started to gain traction thanks to the runaway success of his 2017 single “Take Ya Head Off.” He began to differentiate himself with a horror and occult-inspired stage show that has recently culminated in his Summoning of the Eclipse events at The Caverns in Pelham, Tennesee. Last week also saw him release his latest album, Harbinger.

By comparison, Marshmello has a much more upbeat image (when he’s not being impersonated). While it started out as an anonymous artist project with the artist wearing a marshmallow-like helmet onstage, by now it’s more or less an open secret that Marshmello is Christopher Comstock, who previously went by the moniker Dotcom. Singles like “Keep It Mello,” “Wolves,” and “Happier” featuring Bastille have made him one of the most successful electronic musicians in the world.

Tickets to all four stops of the 2024 MELLODEATH Tour are available right now on the MELLODEATH website.
