The first Ultra Australia 2024 headliners have been announced, and Tier 2 tickets are sold out for the Melbourne event.

The global pandemic put an understandable damper on Ultra Worldwide‘s global conquest, but the Miami-based event brand is once again moving full steam ahead. As with many of its festivals, it brought Ultra Australia back in 2022. After a successful follow-up this year, it has shared the Phase 1 lineup for the 2024 event slated to take place at Broadwater Parklands in Southport, Australia on April 12 and Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on April 13.

Topping the bill for the Southport event are EDM superstars Armin van Buuren, Brennen Heart, Darren Styles, Steve Aoki and Zedd. All of the same artists perform the following day in Melbourne, but joining them is UK house and techno figurehead Carl Cox. The Phase 1 lineup is but a glimpse of what the festival will offer. If this year’s event is anything like the last, dozens of names still have yet to be announced in the months leading up to the event.

Ultra Music Festival‘s inaugural event took place in 1999 as a single-day event at Collins Park on Miami Beach. Headlined by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Rabbit in the Moon, and Josh Wink, it drew 10,000 revelers. Over the decades that saw it balloon into a three-day gathering with attendance regularly surpassing 400,000, it bounced between venues like Bicentennial Park and Virginia Key — but none as beloved as Bayfront Park in mainland Miami.

Ultra’s global expansion banner, Ultra Worldwide, introduced Ultra Australia in 2018. The debut edition consisted of events in Sydney and Melbourne headlined by the likes of Afrojack, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Carnage, KSHMR and Will Sparks. Other editions of the festival have billed headliners like Illenium, Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, Deborah De Luca, Eats Everything, and UMEK.

Tier 2 tickets to the April 13 Melbourne stop of Ultra Australia are sold out at the time of writing. Find passes and additional information on the Ultra Australia website.
