Dosem and My Friend Deliver Latest Two-Tracker

Anjunadeep melodic master, Dosem, taps duo, My Friend for their latest EP, highlighting the darker side of melodic house and modern breaks.

For the past decade, Spanish DJ/producer Dosem has steadily honed his craft, elevating his sound to the upper echelons of melodic house. From his globally beloved hits such as “That Look,” and Tinlicker collaboration “Hypnotized,” to the progressive club staple “Tunnel Fast,” once Dosem hits the decks, you’re along for an auditory adventure that’s second to none. Over the years, Dosem has left his mark on some of the world’s most prestigious clubs and festivals, including the iconic Printworks London, and gone on to foster his record label Houstrike. Carving out a place for himself amongst the darker shades of dance music, his ability to transport fans to another world through his compositions stands in a league of its own.

Today, Dosem asserts his production mastery on his latest, collaborative, two-track EP, Blue Marble/Door to Door, featuring fellow British duo My Friend out now on Anjunadeep. The pair found success through their Came Here For Love EP and garnered support from Pete Tong and beyond. Today the three esteemed producers have joined forces for some of their most significant work. The powerful two-tracker opens with “Blue Marble.” A swelling energy permeates the track’s first half while airy and glittering synths resonate into the top end. A powerful and dominating build-up gives way to an utterly infectious progressive groove, tailor-made for dance floor decadence. “Blue Marble,” is easily one of Dosem’s most vital productions as he breathes new life into the rapidly accelerating melodic house realm.

However, the emotive melodies don’t stop there. Dosem and My Friend place their UK roots front and center on, “Door to Door,” as a driving breakbeat rhythm tinged with just the right amount of industrial influence carries the energy from the first beat. Well-thought-out percussion, vibrant synth work, and a highly effective bass line elevate the track into a masterclass in collaborative production. Blue World/Door To Door is an exceptional example of all three producers’ ability to capture emotion through dance music, and a shining example of where the world of melodic house and breaks is heading as summer 2023 is on the horizon.
