Leena Punks Spins Up a Mix to Show Off Her Greek Roots

Rising star Leena Punks is blossoming in the scene and swung by to spin up a mix showcasing her favorite gems in the house music realm.

One of the hottest talents to hit the airwaves lately is Leena Punks, and it’s clear that she’s taking no prisoners on her ascent through the ranks of the scene. She’s become known for her energetic sets at Fabric and Ministry of Sound, while her stunning releases have landed on imprints ranging from New State and Insomniac Records to Stress Records and Anjunabeats. And while she might currently be based out of London, much of her pinpoint precision as a tastemaker comes from her Greek roots.

Greece is where Leena Punks honed her skills behind the decks, playing at clubs in Athens and the island destination, Mykonos, which has become known as the go-to spot for anyone on the hunt for Ibiza-like vibes in the Mediterranean. At the same time, she’s taken other international gigs in cities like Berlin, Zurich, and the aforementioned Ibiza and studied at Point Blank Music School in London.

Last year saw her take the stage at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender, and on the release front, she’s impressed with tracks like “On The Floor,” which saw her deliver some proper breaks, along with the trance-twinged “Mirage.” Leena Punks has only continued to soar higher in 2023. Not only did she drop off a collaboration with SUB-X, “Dawn Of The Dead,” which received the Hottest Record stamp of approval from BBC Radio 1’s Charlie Hedges, but she also returned to Stress Records with another gem – “OOO (Out Of Office)” with Arielle Free.

The original version of “OOO (Out Of Office)” saw Leena Punks and Arielle Free turn back the clock to the days of raves gone by for a nostalgic, house-fueled ride that will infect your mind with its catchy vocal hooks and basslines. Building off the energy, Arielle Free flipped the script on her remix of the track, transforming it into a deeper, vibier version that’s perfect for any late night at a nightclub.

Leena Punks swung by to spin up a mix that’s fit for the rest of spring and summer ahead to celebrate her Greek roots and show exactly how she can turn up the dial at any party. She layers in a bevy of her own tunes while featuring selections from Low Steppa, Chris Avantgarde & Anyma, and Dosem & Genix before finishing everyone off with “Sweet Feeling,” her collaboration with Amy Wiles.
