If you don’t know who Chris Bekker is then let me get you up to date. Ready for this? Chris Bekker was the man behind the sounds for Mercedes-Benz, NHOW Hotels, and VisitBerlin. He is also the resident DJ for Berlin’s famous Kitkat Club. But it doesn’t stop there. He also created the soundtrack for fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer‘s runway shows. His list of accomplishments go even further seeing him remix tracks for artists such as Giorgio Moroder and trance kingpin Paul Van Dyk. But wait, there’s more! Chris Bekker is the owner of klang ID sound agency and is a lecturer in Neuro Marketing & Sound at 2 of Berlin’s top universities! And now Chris Bekker has yet another accomplishment to add to this astonishing resume. On July 15th he will release his debut album ‘Berlinition‘ on VANDIT Records.

Chris Bekker’s new album has a unique theme that he wants to make completely clear and evident. Berlin is his beloved home and with this album he wanted to capture its beauty, strength, and soul. to make this happen he has taken the time to truly get to know the city, studying it and exploring every nook and cranny. This album is meant to be an adventure through the great city so every listener will become privy to its grandeur and beauty.

The album contains 11 tracks that including singles “Heimat B”, “Uferstrasse”, “Animatic” and the album’s title track “Berlinition”. And no great album is complete without some mega collaborations. And on this album we see Chris Bekker partner up with Paul Van Dyk, Chris Montana, Tricia McTeague, Sequ3l, and Pagano. It needs to be highlighted that this album is so dear to Chris Bekker’s soul and he truly wants its listeners to understand the concept of the album. So he came up with a plan! Over the course of a year, as each track came to fruition, Bekker would take to the streets to shoot videos around Berlin and piece them together to create the DVD version of ‘Berlinition’. So, now it’s listeners will have a clear visual idea of Chris Bekkers inspiration for each track, wiping away any question about what each specific track is trying to express.
