Diplo Delivers Fiery ‘Do You Dance?’ EP

The multifaceted dance music artist Diplo returns with his latest EP featuring Sonny Fodera, Wax Motif, SIDEPIECE, and more!

Dance music fans worldwide have continued to fall in love with the ever-evolving sounds of the one and only Diplo. From the dance hall sounds of Major Lazer to conquering the world alongside Skrillex as Jack U, while also constantly churning out his own tunes, few artists in the scene today have a resume as decorated as the mighty DJ and producer. Now, Diplo has returned with his latest EP for fans to feast their ears on as he poses the question, Do You Dance?.

Do You Dance? is Diplo at his best as he recruited a top-tier roster of collaboraters who are featured across the seven smoldering tracks. The unstoppable Sonny Fodera lands with his massive collaboration “Turn Back Time,” a fiery club-ready banger that will have anyone who listens breaking a sweat on the dancefloor.

The fledgling SIDEPIECE project (Party Favor and Nitti Gritti) also earns a spot on the EP after they burst onto the scene with their debut smash single with Diplo, “On My Mind.” This tune instantly dominated dancefloors and livestreams alike while gaining a Grammy nomination as well. And who better than Purple Disco Machine to spin the track in his own funkified way? He flips the modern classic into a future-retro vibe all his own while holding true to the best elements of the original.

Last year, Diplo also teamed up with Paul Woolford and Kareen Lomax for the irresistible vocal house anthem, “Looking For Me” which drew massive acclaim from coast to coast. And Born Dirty also dropped off his globally-inspired bop “Samba Sujo,” which successfully shines a light on Diplo’s ability to layer in Latin influence into modern dance music. Also leaving his mark on this irresistible EP is Nightbass mainstay Wax Motif. He teams up with Diplo to deliver one of Do You Dance?‘s most energetic tracks, “Love To The World” – a massive collaboration instantly ignites a fire in your shoes.

Rounding out this phenomenal EP is Diplo and Berlin-based duo Mat.Joe with “Conga Rock.” Once again, Diplo highlights his uncanny ability to deliver globally sourced house music with an enchanting kick-snare rhythm, crisp guitar plucks, and well-polished congas perfectly highlight instantly danceable vocals throughout the track.

Diplo’s first release of 2021 is out now on all major platforms. Stream Do You Dance? on Spotify below and let us know which track is your favorite in the comments.

Logan Garrison

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
