Flux Pavilion set off on a journey to explore fresh soundscapes in the studio and the result of that path is his latest album, .wav.
If you love heavy bass music, you probably have a special place in your heart for Flux Pavilion. Since first breaking onto the scene, he cemented himself as a Dubstep Don with legendary classics like “I Can’t Stop” and “Got 2 Know,” but more recently he’s begun to explore new realms. Now, he’s taking a bold step in his career – reinventing himself and his sound with 16 fresh tracks on his latest album, .wav.
On the new album, Flux Pavilion takes purposeful strides away from his traditional head-banging filth to bring forth fresh instrumentals, experimental beats, future bass soundscapes, and captivating vocals. From beginning to end, .wav will have listeners on the edge of their seat and at the fully lost within their own feelings as he masterfully rides the waves of his inspiration and builds upon multiple sub-genres of dance music.
While an album of this magnitude would typically be paired with a tour, the pandemic had different plans to make it unlikely anytime soon. But have no fear, faithful Flux Pavilion followers, because he’ll be playing the album live during the launch livestream on February 5 (or February 6 depending on your region) in partnership with Moment House. Tickets are available now!

Artists like Feed Me, What So Not, Nevve, Asha, and more join Flux Pavilion on .wav and leave a lasting impression.
No two songs on .wav sound the same, and this is further showcased with the collaborations that see him team up with artists who have different vibes, helping push the evolution of his sound forward. “Survive” with Feed Me and meesh has an addictive, energized beat with mesmerizing vocals. Dreamy future bass vibes take the spotlight in “20:25” with What So Not and Chain Gang of 1974, and Nevve’s smooth vocals take over in a previously-released single off the album, “Lion’s Cage.”
“Symphony,” “Somebody Else,” “Sink your Teeth In,” “I Believe,” and “Endless Fantasy” follow suit with captivating vocals that will send chills down your spine. All these tracks seem to follow a theme, encompassing all the facets of love: infatuation, dedication, desperation, and deep, true intimacy. So wherever you are and whatever you’re feeling, there’s something for you to grasp onto here.
Flux Pavilion’s musical talents flourish in .wav, showcasing his skills far beyond bass music.
The electric guitar and synths throughout the album are emblematic of Flux’s fresh vibe. “Every Cable Goes Somewhere” has subtle remnants of Flux’s heavier sounds, but with a melodic, experimental twist. “Partial Fugue in B Minor” is simply a masterpiece. The melody ebbs, flows, and grows, taking unexpected turns that will leave you breathless.
“I Will Stay” is the longest song on the album, taking you on a cathartic future bass journey full of unpredictable turns. The last track of the album, “LOVE,” ties the entire experience together with breathtaking instrumentals and just one spoken word, “love.” In a way, this track feels like Flux Pavilion’s love letter to his fans — the perfect ending to an incredibly raw and unbarred emotional journey through his mind.
