Elijah Daniel and the CULT for GOOD Project are providing much-needed relief to the homeless population in LA and other cities soon!
As the entire world continues to grapple with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic one of the largest groups of people who are in the direst need of assistance are the homeless. Lacking in healthcare insurance, proper sanitation supplies, or access to services others take for granted, the virus can spread quickly in those communities. Enter Elijah Daniel and the CULT for GOOD Project who have begun providing relief by redistributing supplies.
Officially launched earlier this month in the wake of festival and event cancellations around the country, CULT for GOOD Project sees a collective of entertainment industry professionals working together to help those who need it most. Teaming up with U-HAUL, Enterprise Truck Rentals, the Forcer App, and Vivera Pharmaceuticals, they’ve been hard at work to give the homeless supplies and are working on FREE test kits for essential workers, at-risk patients, and the homeless.
“This started as something small, for Los Angeles, with one mission, to protect everyone,” Elijah Daniel said. “And the response from everyone has been so incredible that it’s shocking, seeing so many people step up, and selflessly want to help others is such a relief from everything bad in the world right now. And because of them, we are able to continue that mission, but for all of America. People over politics. People over profit. Protect everyone.”
Since they’ve begun their mission their fleet of CULT Relief Trucks has distributed nearly 100,000 care packages across Los Angeles.
These packages consist of Coronavirus-specific supplies like bars of soap, masks, hand-sanitizing wipes, and fever reducers. They’ve also gone one step further by purchasing unused supplies like water bottles from local nightclubs and restaurants to help them out as well.
Most recently, they purchased over 1,700 water bottles from Downtown Los Angeles warehouse Lot 613. They hope to purchase more water, towels, snacks from hospitality riders, and other relevant supplies from venues across the country
The CULT for GOOD isn’t stopping with Los Angeles, either.
The CULT for GOOD Project has plans to continue its expansion across the entire United States and have already begun to touch down in cities like San Diego, Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco. Plans for Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Colorado, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and more states are in the works as well.
