V2 Presents has announced that the upcoming edition of Get Lucky has been cancelled amid the growing coronavirus outbreak.

Today has been a hard-hitting day for the entertainment industry as a growing number of event promoters have either postponed or outright cancelled the upcoming editions of their festivals. Earlier today saw Beyond Wonderland SoCal and BUKU postpone their festivals, and now V2 Presents has announced that Get Lucky will also not take place.

In their statement that was released on just moments ago on their website, V2 Presents said: “it is with a heavy heart that we must confirm that Get Lucky Festival will not proceed as planned due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The health, safety, and well-being of our patrons will always be our number one concern.”

Explaining the rationale behind the cancellation, they went on to say that “The decision to not proceed as planned was not made lightly, but rather in accordance with the Utah Department of Health and state and local governmental authorities’ recommendations and restrictions regarding public gatherings of over 100 people within the state of Utah.” V2 Presents remains in contact with local officials as well regarding how the coronavirus might affect other events and festivals in the future.

Those who purchased tickets to Get Lucky in Salt Lake City will automatically receive an upgrade to the same corresponding day or ticket type for Das Energi Festival on August 14-15, 2020. If you are unable to attend Das Energi Festival, all refund requests will be honored. Physical tickets will be refunded from their point of purchase.

Get Lucky was set to take place on March 13-14 at the Great Saltair. The lineup featured headliners including Nora En Pure, Dillon Francis, Liquid Stranger, and more.

Stay tuned for more information about other cancellations and postponements from around the world as we continue to follow the impact coronavirus has on the festival season this year.

The Get Lucky and V2 Presents team is devastated to share this news. This decision is the right one for the health and safety of our community. We love our community and the well being of patrons is our highest priority.
