Groove Cruise Miami is leaning into The Groove Effect and the 8 Waves ethos for the messaging behind the themes for their upcoming sailing to Royal Beach Club in 2027.

The upcoming sailing of Groove Cruise Miami might feel light-years away, but there’s no better time than now to start planning if you’ve already locked in your cabin. The 2027 edition is slated to take place on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas from January 21-25, and the Groove Cruise team has already generated plenty of hype with a stacked lineup. Now, the themes for each day and night have been revealed.

“On Groove Cruise, themes have never been just about costumes. They’re permission slips,” said Jason Beukema, Groove Cruise Founder and Chief Excitement Officer. “They give Captains a reason to play, connect, let go, and step into parts of themselves they may not always access in everyday life.”

Each of the themes for the upcoming sailing carries intention through The Groove Effect and the 8 Waves, which Beukema says will help GCFAM embrace the ethos of connection, pattern breaking, and more that stick with them after the sailing.

As is tradition, the first day of Groove Cruise Miami will feature the Represent theme, where GCFAM can don their merch from previous years as they board the Allure of the Seas. This doubles as the first wave, Gauge Your Frequency, which helps set the tone for the experience ahead. That night’s theme is Lost In Neverland, which invites attendees to ride their curiosity by escaping into a world filled with pirates, mermaids, fairies, and more.

The second day kicks off with Naughty By Nature, a theme that blends the natural environment into the otherwise unnatural space. Expect an untamed atmosphere with plenty of flowers, vines, and more as you Overcome Your Comfort Zone and embrace their wild side. Then, it’s time for Cartoons Gone Wild that evening, which will allow you to Own Your Groove and express yourself freely.

Flamingle and To The Moon are the themes for Saturday’s festivities. The former is all about showing off your best pink fits and tropical accessories to “Vibe With Purpose,” while the latter is centered on the cosmos, with astronauts and intergalactic looks dominating the ship as GCFAM embraces and elevates.

Finally, Retro Splash & Sass is set to focus on vintage looks that will “Spark A Ripple” during the day on Sunday, while Cyberpunk Vice dominates the nighttime activities with fits centered on chrome, leather, and futuristic, rebellious outfits. This symbolizes the forward-thinking nature of the eighth wave, The Infinity.

Cabins for Groove Cruise Miami 2027 are sold out. If you want your chance to set sail on this edition, join the priority waitlist or free waitlist.
