The Queen of Hardstyle, Lady Faith, swung by after her set with LNY TNZ at EDC Las Vegas to chat about how she approached the performance.
While thousands of ravers flock to EDC Las Vegas to catch artists from the house, techno, dubstep, and trance realms, there’s a dedicated number who attend each year to get their fix of hard dance. Since 2012, genres within that region of the scene have been featured at the Insomniac flagship, with a Q-dance takeover that first year, followed by Basscon ever since. And one artist who has been a fixture at the festival is Lady Faith.
Known as the Queen of Hardstyle, Lady Faith has been a fixture at the festival, having played all 14 times, and mentioned that she’s excited to see what’s in store next year. For the most recent edition, she dominated the decks alongside LNY TNZ for a back-to-back that was filled to the brim with energy and fully packed the stage out.
“I loved every minute of it. We walked into it not knowing what was going to happen,” she said, reflecting on the set. “Nothing was preset or anything like that. He was himself, and I was myself. I think our two styles came together. It was very explosive and very fun.” The two dropped a ton of massive tracks, including their new collaboration, “Night Predator,” which was released on Basscon Records. “It was nice to be able to play it together and dance on the stage,” she continued.
Happy anniversary to Insomniac and Pasquale. You guys are absolutely amazing, and I’m so grateful that you guys brought my genre above ground and have given us this incredible opportunity to be a part of this glorious event, present our music, and have fun with the fans the way that we do. It’s such an incredible feeling to be here and to be able to play and be amongst these incredible artists from all around the world, the best of the best.

Lady Faith expressed that it was a huge accomplishment for her, other artists in the scene, and everyone who had worked hard to support hardstyle in the US to have it at EDC Las Vegas. Speaking specifically about the growth of the wasteLAND stage, she mentioned the dedicated fanbase that always packs out the crowd as the most impressive aspect.
“Those fans love the music with every fiber of their being, and we don’t get a lot of these events throughout America,” she said. “So if they have it, they’re here, and they’re going to thoroughly enjoy it and be there from the minute it starts until the minute it finishes on Sunday.”
Lady Faith also provided advice for female DJs looking to pave their way in hardstyle or other genres. “Just make sure you’re badass, you know exactly what you’re doing, you’re damn good at it, and keep pushing, never take no as an answer,” she said as the conversation came to a close.
There have been a lot of glass ceilings that have been broken, but there are more. Don’t ever take no for an answer; there’s room for you in this industry. Don’t ever let anyone make you think there’s only room for one female at a time; there’s room for all of us. You’re amazing, you’re talented, and you’re way more powerful than you think. Believe in yourself and have faith.
