Fox Stevenson Expands on 2025 ‘Sunk Cost Fallacy’ Album with Deluxe Edition

The deluxe edition of Fox Stevenson’s Sunk Cost Fallacy album offers a deeper look into the emotional core of the effort with acoustic demos and reimaginations.

Few artists in the electronic music world have successfully translated their sound into a full live band experience, or vice versa. But multi-talented musician Fox Stevenson is one of the rare artists to bridge that gap. Blending high-quality electronic production with alt-indie and pop-punk influences, his music appeals as much to ravers as it does to listeners drawn to deep lyrics and fun melodies.

In 2025, Fox released his sophomore album, Sunk Cost Fallacy — a 14-track body of work written, sung, and he entirely produced by himself. The multi-genre album puts his strengths on full display, demonstrating his versatility across different styles and his ability to craft songs that are both expertly executed and irresistibly fun. Now, he’s followed it up with a deluxe edition, freshly reinventing six previously released songs.

The deluxe edition includes four original acoustic demos, serving as stripped-back versions of tracks from the original album and showcasing Fox Stevenson’s vocals, lyrics, and songwriting in their purest form. There’s also a VIP remix of “Tryhard” and a redux version of “That Choice,” offering a bold spin and fresh reinterpretation of the original tracks.

On January 21, Fox Stevenson embarked on a North American tour across 25 cities to support the album. Each stop includes a live performance from Fox and his band, breathing alternative and indie energy into the songs through vocals, guitar, and drums. Afterward, Fox will keep the party going with a DJ set that demonstrates his skill in mixing and electronic production, transforming the show from a concert into a rave. For fans, this tour offers a rare opportunity to experience electronic music performed by a live band, and to see the breadth’s of Fox’s musical talents both on stage and behind the decks.

Jaclyn Sersland

Jaclyn Sersland

Jaclyn’s journey as a raver began in 2022, but her obsession with music dates back to her middle school days as an angsty emo kid. A firm believer in the emo to raver pipeline, she has found a strong sense of community in the rave scene united by a common ethos of PLUR and a shared love for heavy basslines. A longtime writer and now Master’s in Journalism student at Georgetown University, Jaclyn is passionate about using her voice to spotlight the EDM scene. In particular, she enjoys writing about drum and bass, the number 1 favorite genre of hers, although her music taste spans wide so you will catch her byline on many types of stories. Her favorite artists are Andromedik, Sub Focus, Dimension, GRiZ, Oliverse, Illenium, Grabbitz, Zedd, Basstripper, Subsonic, and more.
