Zingara’s “crystal children” return for another enlightening journey through five new immersive soundscapes on The Magic Garden.
Bass maven Zingara has quickly become a household name within the electronic community. Celebrated for her unique production style that connects her passion for music with her deep spirituality, the masterful producer crafts songs that transport listeners through body and mind.
Aiming to heal fans through the immersive stories and frequencies of her projects, Zingara infuses each new release with her blend of signature wubs and mind-expanding lyricism. Expanding on her mission to change lives with her high-frequency tunes, she has released her latest EP, The Magic Garden.
The five-track body of work sees the spirits from Zingara’s 2024 EP, For The Crystal Children, make their return. Reintroduced by Jessica Chertok on “Another Place,” the “crystal children” are souls who return to Earth in pursuit of healing and unity. Chertok also lends her talents to the title track, “The Magic Garden.”
One of Zingara’s favorites on the release, “Purple Plum Trees,” which is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Kali, came to life during a writing session with her neighbor, Diego Moreno. “When I was writing the song, I had an intense and clear image pop in my head of Kali as the tree with her arms as the branches and the roots,” she said about the closing track on Instagram. “I call these thoughts ‘downloads’ or ‘channeling, ‘ which is when I reach such a flow state that I feel like the music just pours out of me even when I don’t know where it’s coming from or going.”
Additional collaborators on The Magic Garden include Lowcation and Kambii, who appear on “Where The Angels Sleep.” The mysterious song beckons listeners to “close your eyes and come into the light,” reuniting with those whose bodies have left Earth, as they enter a slumber. Meanwhile, solo track “Pink Peonies” is a standout with its hip-stirring, resonant bass. Laced with worldly sounds like sitar-inspired plucking, the wubby tune adds a haunting shadow to the extended play’s overall story.
