Adam Beyer and Armin van Buuren Rekindle a 30-Year Legacy with “Techno Trance”

Techno legend Adam Beyer and trance luminary Armin van Buuren are giving fans the best of both worlds with a debut collaborative tune on Armada Music.

Blending the historic sounds of techno and trance isn’t a new concept, but one that has seen a powerful resurgence in recent years. Take Fatima Hajji and Indira Paganotto’s work, for example. When two of the scene’s most respected pioneers come together, though, it’s more than a revival; it’s a landmark moment. With “Techno Trance,” released via Armada Music, Armin van Buuren and Adam Beyer aren’t just revisiting their roots; they’re making history once again.

First heard during their back-to-back set at A State of Trance in Rotterdam earlier this year, the tune combines Armin’s soaring synths with the euphoric breakdowns, alongside Adam’s heavy industrial kicks and tight percussion that techno fans adore. Combined, they deliver a bold, future-facing single that honors a past sound while paying homage to the new.

Reimagining Dutch DJ and producer D-Shake’s 1992 classic, “Techno Trance (Paradise Is Now),” a track well ahead of its time, Armin van Buuren and Adam Beyer pay tribute to that boundary-pushing spirit while showing listeners how history can repeat itself.

Techno Trance still hits hard after 30 years. Reworking it with Adam let us revive the spirit of that era in a 2025 jacket, connecting a new generation on the dancefloor with our combined signature sounds. I was so excited by the reaction; it shows that when you take risks and explore beyond genre boundaries, fans are ready to embrace it, and the energy on stage and in the crowd proves it.

Built for 2025, “Techno Trance” explores how music can bridge different scenes, proving that a shared love for music brings people together. To bring the concept to life visually, the two producers have dropped a limited-edition T-shirt featuring a mirrored graphic. The tee is available now on the Armada Music website.

Take a listen to the tune below, listen to “Techno Trance” on your favorite platform, and stay tuned for more from these two artists by following their social media channels.
