Jon Casey Showcases His Collaborative Spirit on Latest EP

Rightly dubbed HAPPY TO BE HERE, Jon Casey’s latest EP ushers in a new era for trap lovers by teaming up with TroyBoi, PEEKABOO, and more.

Jon Casey is known for his hard-hitting beats, memorable vocals, and powerhouse collaborations. Recent years have seen him join forces with the likes of Pauline Herr and NGHTMRE. Now, he’s setting the tone for a career-defining second half of 2025 with the release of his latest EP, HAPPY TO BE HERE.

This six-track EP sees Jon Casey hold true to his South African roots while blending elements from trap and experimental bass. Found inside is a collaborative bass-bumping journey layered with sonic textures, intense moments, and strong yet fun vocals that showcase his evolution. “This EP is an accumulation of my entire experience being a touring artist,” Casey said. “It embodies my appreciation for the entire process. It takes the tone of ‘I’m just happy to be doing what I love and I never want to take any of it for granted.'”

The collaborations showcase the range I have cultivated over the years. It is sort of a farewell to the old and a wink at the new.

“DON’T U” kicks off the EP with a smooth intro into a groovy trap anthem that jolts you into movement with its hypnotic percussion and sound design. With a nod to the Latin community, “AHORA” comes in next. An anthem of its own, the track will get you and your friends moving with high energy before its face-melting drop makes you weak in the knees. The previously released single is a collaboration with trap legend TroyBoi, which Jon Casey says is “fun, sexy, and hard all at once.”

PEEKABOO joins Jon Casey on “GO!,” which blends Casey’s groovy style with the thunderous low-end bass PEEKABOO is known for to add some diversity into the mix. Then, “RUDE!” comes in to keep the energy up with a feature from KARAN!. The percussion-filled heater mashes tribal drums with crisp elements and electric vocals.

The final two tracks, “EARTHQUAKE” with PAID!NFULL and “WAITING ROOM” with Marhly show off two different sides of Jon Casey’s production prowess. The former acts like a halt in the system, with its earth-shaking mix of punchy beats and low-end bass, sparking a vibration in the depths of your core. Meanwhile, the final track closes out the project with a much-needed introspective cool down, led by the mesmerizing vocals from Marhly.

HAPPY TO BE HERE is a voyage into the genre-defying art Jon Casey has cultivated since he began the project in 2017. Listen to the EP on your favorite platform and follow his social media channels to stay informed on their upcoming releases and shows!
