Pig&Dan Serenade Souls with New Album on Café Del Mar Music

While the list of artists who could’ve taken the honors of this milestone is endless, beloved duo Pig&Dan was the right choice for Café del Mar’s resident DJ and music curator, Ken Fan. He was sent an unsigned album from the duo last year, which was promptly tested during sets at the beloved venue. “The crowd’s reaction said it all,” he said. “Every time I included them in a mix, people were asking what they were, and Shazaming with no results. It’s a brilliant start to our first artist release at Café del Mar, with more to come.”

Pig&Dan’s album Journey Within departs from the house and techno soundscapes that helped define the duo’s career. You won’t find high-energy dancefloor bangers geared toward peak hours at a festival or club throughout its runtime. Instead, it’s filled with soft, pensive atmospheres, dub textures, and warm, almost psychedelic moments firmly rooted in the downtempo, chillout, and electronica space.

We wanted to explore the deeper, more emotive side of our musical identity, stepping away from the club energy to create something that reaches a bit deeper. This album is a journey into our minds, reflecting the influences and organic sounds that have always been part of our creative DNA.
