Wehbba throws the rules out the window for his latest album, STUDIO DUMP 05.25, which features tracks ripped straight from the studio floor.

While many in the techno scene have begun to flock to the higher-energy side of the spectrum, Wehbba is opening doors to a different realm. Known for his boundary-pushing style and intricate productions, he’s continued to drive forward while refusing to cater to the industry’s formulaic nature. This mentality has seen Wehbba innovate with each passing year, and his latest album, STUDIO DUMP 05.25, is the latest look into the mind of this brilliant artist.

Out now via HIFN, STUDIO DUMP 05.25 features ten tracks from Wehbba, but according to him, it isn’t simply an album. He considers it a thought experiment that speaks to the nature of the scene, how technology has affected the culture, and the pace at which the world is consuming content. This is reflected throughout its runtime as the tracks are unpolished sonic sketches that buck the current trends and feel alive.

STUDIO DUMP 05.25 captures my present state as an artist – disconnected, raw, and instinctive. It’s a reflection of how electronic music exists in the social media era, shifting so rapidly that everything can vanish in an instant. The Wordscape itself is a meditation on the emptiness of an unfilled feed, and the way our lives have been shaped by what’s seen, consumed, and forgotten. It’s not about permanence – it’s about finding value in the fleeting through being intentional.

Outside of “FEED WORDSCAPE,” centered on the spoken word lyrics that double as the album’s intro, the rest of the soundscapes on STUDIO DUMP 05.25 are pure, unadulterated techno bliss. These tracks are rooted in Wehbba’s desire to showcase unrefined tracks, ones that never had time for a second guess and break from the norm – and it sure is quite a ride.

“RENN” is the first taste of the thumping techno that Wehbba delivers on this album, and you’ll find yourself completely hypnotized by its pulsating beat. Tracks like “EXIT TIME,” “ESSENCE,” “RESPECT THE PROCESS,” and “MIRAGE” with Misstress Barbara offer plenty of depth within their soundscapes. Others, like “SYNTHETICS” and “SYMMETRY,” add layers of trance-fueled synth melodies, while “BRAIN CONFUSION” and “TRACTION” are mind-melting techno gems that are Wehbba at his best.
