Amelie Lens Releases Two-Track EP, ‘Serenity’

Belgian techno powerhouse Amelie Lens once again shows why she’s one of the genre’s leading forces with her latest EP, Serenity.

Only halfway into the year, 2025 has already shaped up to be one of Amelie Lens‘ biggest years yet. Fresh off her recent EP One Mind with Charlotte de Witte, and a string of sets at Coachella, Hï Ibiza, and Fabrik in Madrid, she is embarking on the next chapter of her career with the release of her latest EP, Serenity. The effort also marks a new chapter for Amelie’s community-driven label and music platform EXHALE, which is designed to spotlight and elevate the next generation of techno.

“With my new EP, I wanted to explore the tension between calm and chaos,” Amelie said. “‘Serenity‘ leans into a more melodic, radio-friendly space, while ‘Club of Extremes‘ — which fans have been waiting on for a long time — dives straight into the raw energy of the club. It’s two sides of the same story.”

Her strong attention to detail to the pulsing rhythms and warped synth textures in Serenity speak to Amelie’s high-quality production skills. The titular track is the embodiment of Amelie’s signature high-energy sound. Melodic vocals lure listeners in before the song transforms into a pounding drop reminiscent of classic techno. Meanwhile, “Club of Extremes” is edgy and hard hitting, using dark, syncopated beats, spacey pads, and cool, confident vocals that altogether create a track meant to cut through the dark haze of a smokey warehouse.

All in all, Serenity demonstrates Amelie’s techno prowess and stands out as one of her strongest pieces of music yet. The EP showcases both her versatility as a producer and her ability to create a cohesive listening experience with two songs very unique from each other. Both are bound to energize crowds in clubs and festival grounds alike for years to come.

Listen to Serenity on your preferred streaming platform, and explore the dichotomy between calm and chaos that Amelie Lens curates with her latest EP.

Jaclyn Sersland

Jaclyn’s journey as a raver began in 2022, but her obsession with music dates back to her middle school days as an angsty emo kid. A firm believer in the emo to raver pipeline, she has found a strong sense of community in the rave scene united by a common ethos of PLUR and a shared love for heavy basslines. A longtime writer and now Master’s in Journalism student at Georgetown University, Jaclyn is passionate about using her voice to spotlight the EDM scene. In particular, she enjoys writing about drum and bass, the number 1 favorite genre of hers, although her music taste spans wide so you will catch her byline on many types of stories. Her favorite artists are Andromedik, Sub Focus, Dimension, GRiZ, Oliverse, Illenium, Grabbitz, Zedd, Basstripper, Subsonic, and more.
