Listen to Nia Archives’ First Release on Her Newly Minted Label

“Get Loose” with Cheetah appears on an EP of its namesake via Nia Archives’ brand-new label, Up Ya Archives.

Nia Archives is on the rapid sort of rise that inevitably leads to a music empire. Next on the agenda is her very own record label, and the English jungle producer, DJ, and vocalist is taking that step on May 23rd with the release of her and Cheetah‘s Get Loose on the brand-new Up Ya Archives.

Ahead of its release, fans of both artists can listen to the title track of the three-song EP. “Get Loose” is a melange of the infectious sorts of jungle championed by each of them, with a catchy call and response taking center stage in the arrangement.

Accompanying the single drop is its Jay-D-directed official music video. In it, Nia Archives and Cheetah can be seen dancing in a nondescript urban setting — sometimes by themselves, and sometimes with a group of unnamed party people.

Up Ya Archives is not the first label founded by Nia Archives (real name Dehaney Nia Lishahn Hunt). In 2020, she inaugurated her Hijinxx imprint with the song “Sober Feels” after hitting dead ends trying to find it a home elsewhere. It has since amassed millions of streams — and on the other end of a career breakthrough the likes of which only a handful ever see, Hunt released her debut studio-length album, Silence Is Loud, in April 2024.

Cheetah has been on the map about as long as Hunt, albeit in somewhat more niche circles. Having also collaborated with the likes of Tim Reaper and Samurai Breaks, his repertoire consists not only of jungle, but also more eclectic styles of bass music.

Watch the “Get Loose” music video on YouTube, and follow Up Ya Archives on your preferred platform to get ahold of the full release on May 23.
