Dubstep-meets-metal producer PhaseOne marks the path to the release of his debut album by dropping his collaboration with Make Them Suffer, “SOS.”

Australian DJ and producer PhaseOne has made a name for himself in the bass music scene and is taking no prisoners as he continues his rise to the top. His distinct sound marries the realms of dubstep and metal, creating hard-hitting tunes that clash with explosions of energy. In 2023 he added another chapter to his career with the launch of his Sounds Of Mayhem imprint, and now he’s planning to return to the label with his debut album for fans to feast their ears on.

While details on PhaseOne’s debut album remain limited, its tracks will feature his hybrid bass style, which offers everything from aggressive drops to intricately placed elements. This can be heard on the first glimpse of what’s to come with the first single to surface, “SOS.” PhaseOne teamed up with Aussie metalcore act Make Them Suffer to bring this tune to life, which he said was “probably the most painstakingly crafted track” he’s made.

“[SOS] went through countless variations over the course of a year, but it wasn’t until I reached out to Make Them Suffer—who agreed to feature—that the song really started to take shape,” PhaseOne shared. “I’ve chosen it as the first single for my next album because it embodies everything you’d expect from a PhaseOne track: guitar, an ethereal verse, a massive chorus, and metal vocals that lead into a crushing drop.”

This fusion of dubstep and metal is a solid tune for anyone who wants to inject some energy straight into their veins. “SOS” starts slow with Make The Suffer’s powerful vocals for a twinge of emotion before the tune throws you into a massive drop that will shatter speakers and melt your mind.

Listen to “SOS” on Spotify or your preferred platform, and follow PhaseOne on social media to stay in the know about his debut album and upcoming shows!
