Dirtybird is marking its 20th anniversary with a global tour and a series of special releases, celebrating two decades of shaping the house and techno scene.
Founded by Claude VonStroke but now operating under EMPIRE Dance, Dirtybird has grown from underground gatherings in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park to a worldwide movement known for its playful energy, genre-defying music, and tight-knit community. Dirtybird is launching a year-long celebration featuring new music, exclusive merch, and a tour to commemorate this milestone, bringing its signature sound to clubs across the country.
The 20th-anniversary tour kicks off on February 8 at The Den in Portland, Oregon, before heading to San Francisco for a takeover at The American Museum of International Art on February 15. Throughout the spring, Dirtybird will make stops at Miami Music Week and notable venues like Denver’s The Church, Seattle’s Q Nightclub, and Phoenix’s Walter Where?House. Each city will feature a different lineup, blending Dirtybird mainstays with rising talent from the label’s Birdfeed community. Additional dates are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Beyond the tour, Dirtybird is diving deep into its catalog with exclusive anniversary releases. The first of these is Fresh Eggs Hand Picked (Vol. 1), a limited-edition vinyl box set featuring classic tracks from the label’s history, including music from Claude VonStroke, Walker & Royce, FISHER, John Summit, and VNSSA. The collection comes packaged in an egg-carton-inspired box with collectible merchandise and artwork, marking a nostalgic nod to Dirtybird’s early years. The label also plans new compilations, expanded Birdfeed perks, and additional projects throughout 2025.
Dirtybird’s anniversary serves as both a reflection on its past and a launchpad for the future. While the festival landscape has shifted, the brand remains dedicated to fostering community through its signature mix of music, humor, and creativity.
