Catalyst kicks off 2025 by spinning up a fiery mix filled with lethal weapons from his vault for our hard dance series, Paradigm Shift.
Australian DJ and producer Catalyst has been a part of the hard dance scene since 2017. He got his start in other genres, but he was introduced to the harder styles that year at the height of the raw trap and hard trap movement on SoundCloud. The big dogs of this era — like WSHNGTN, DrewFilament, Vargo (now VRG), and SAYMYNAME — initially drew him to the harder sounds through their epic remixes.
As a curious listener, Catalyst eventually found the original versions of the remixes he heard and fell in love with producers like Regain, Malice, and Rooler. After attending a three-day hardstyle festival to celebrate his 18th birthday, he became enamored with the movement and instantly knew this was his calling. He never looked back; to this day, he still produces within the harder styles.
Throughout the years, Catalyst has captured listeners’ attention through his commanding style that emphasizes brutal kicks and distorted screeches. Despite focusing on the harder side of music, he’s never shied away from his melodic side, like in his remix of “Bricked” by Superfresh and Milano The Don or his bootleg of “Like A Slut” by Activator. Catalyst has the tools to become one of Australia’s hottest exports, and he plans to carry this into 2025 and beyond.
My goals for 2025 are to step back into the game and unleash the new unique sound I’ve been crafting. A little bit of the old with a bit of the new. I’m looking to get signed again and start playing shows! I’ve been working on too much without letting everyone enjoy it. I am also starting my bass music alias under the name arc//two — so keep an eye out for that!

To kick off 2025, Catalyst stopped by to make his debut on our hard dance mix series, Paradigm Shift! For 30 minutes, he cranks up the heat with a fiery mix that keeps the energy high and never lets off the gas. Apart from his best records — like his “Rock Bottom” VIP or his edit of “Teknogym” by TNT — Catalyst also treats listeners to plenty of unreleased music like “Vendetta,” “Zombies,” “First Blood,” and more.
In addition, Catalyst cooked up a special 2025 edit of his “Bring The Madness” bootleg, which longtime fans will surely appreciate. Finally, he tops it off by shining a light on Australian producers with tunes from Decim8, Scutoid, Midnight-J, and more.
Australia has some amazing artists that are very unknown to the rest of the world. MJU, Midnight-J, Scutoid, and Divyzion, who I have just released a track with called “Gunshots.” I’d love to see more of the Aussie guys get more recognition. As for the worldwide scene, I love the older sound with the extremely aggressive, raw, and deep kicks. I love whats happening with Regain and his “Polish Punisher” act. I would adore for that sound to come back. Hardstyle is in a great place right now and it’s only getting better.
