ZOYA Shares a Story of Love, Loss, and More on ‘Eternity’

ZOYA closes out the most transformative year of her career by releasing her highly personal debut album, Eternity.

Bulgarian DJ and producer ZOYA has accomplished quite a bit in her career. Her releases have landed on labels ranging from Future Sound Of Egypt to Black Hole Recordings, and she’s taken the stage at clubs and festivals near and far. Yet 2024 has brought forth a number of firsts for this blossoming artist in the scene. Just a few short months ago, she took the reins of an In Search Of Sunrise mix, becoming the first female DJ to grace the series. Now, she’s dropped off her debut album, Eternity, to bring the year to a close.

Eternity is out now via Black Hole Recordings and clocks in at 13 tracks. Found inside are the signature soothing soundscapes from ZOYA that have been meticulously crafted over the past few years. Rich, heartfelt melodies, nuanced moments, and lush chord progressions all find a home within the tracks on Eternity as she explores deep-seated emotions from her life experiences.

Sorrow plays a part in the penultimate tune on Eternity, “When Heaven Calls.” This tune was originally produced in 2021 after ZOYA lost her mother to COVID. “It happened very suddenly, and it brought into perspective just how short and transient everything is,” she shared. “My grief was so great that nothing made sense anymore. I found solace only in music – it saved me!” ZOYA channeled that into the creation of “When Heaven Calls,” leading it to become the first of many more that would help tell the story of how she experienced the healing process.

There are so many gorgeous elements found throughout Eternity that you can’t help but listen to this album multiple times once it graces your ears. From the early tunes that offer moments of serenity like “Crystal Cove,” “Freya” with Nourey, and “Eternity” to later gems filled with more energy to mark the end of grief like “Synapse,” “Power,” and “Free” with FACTORe and SCHROEDS, there’s no doubt you’ll find something that will speak to you.

Through my music, I would like to allow others to connect with those emotions, creating a shared experience that they too can also find comfort in. My story is a testament to the enduring nature of love expressed through art. I decided to call it ‘Eternity’, as through it, I wanted to gift you a piece of myself. Music is eternal and therefore, one day when I am gone, you will still be able to feel a part of my soul, that will live through my tracks – a part of the ‘Eternity’.
