Australian artist Anna Lunoe delivers her debut album, Pearl, featuring tunes twinged with her influences rooted in classic house, early trance, and more.

Anna Lunoe has been at the cutting edge of dance music for years. From solo tunes to collaborations with artists ranging from Chris Lake and Skrillex to Notion and DJ BORING, each passing release has seen her explore different styles as she crafted her unique sound. The past few years saw Anna Lunoe dig into the depths of her influences and begin to work on her biggest project to date, and now, her debut album, Pearl, has been unveiled.

Pearl is out now via NLV Records and features 13 tracks that showcase Anna Lunoe’s creative freedom and artistic growth. This adventurous album offers club-ready moments that contrast with others that will pang deeper into your heart, all of which are rooted in elements of classic house, early trance, UK Garage, and more.

Those following Anna Lunoe will have heard some of the tunes found on Pearl. “Real Love” and “Deep Blue Sea” first surfaced in 2023, while her gorgeous tune with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, “Right Here,” arrived just before the summer kicked into gear this year. Additional singles like “Only Love” with Y U QT, “Polite,” and the album’s title track arrived in recent months, helping show off the dynamic range of styles that Anna Lunoe exudes throughout her debut album.

Some of the fresh standouts, such as “Trouble” and “Body Heat” with J.O.S.H.U.A, bring club-ready grooves with plenty of energy. Meanwhile, “Going Home” offers a flourish of drum and bass, and “The Seed” throws you straight back into the days of raves gone by with its trance-fueled atmosphere. The latter was created nearly two years ago during the first demo session. “I knew instantly there was some innocent rave magic in that vocal line reminiscent of the early 2000s trance I grew up loving,” Anna Lunoe shared about “The Seed.” “It took a few tries to achieve, but I love its final form.”

If Pearl is a sign of where this Aussie is heading with her music, then there’s no doubt she’ll continue to move crowds for years to come. Listen to Anna Lunoe’s refreshing soundscapes by streaming the album on Spotify or your preferred platform.
