Jauz and P-Lo pay homage to Zion I’s “Don’t Lose Your Head” with a new, high-energy take that will serve as the Golden State Warriors’ new third-quarter anthem.
If one NBA team has been dialed into the dance music scene over the past few years, it’s the Golden State Warriors. Not only do they play stadium-ready tracks during games, but last year saw them enlist SIDEPIECE to create a tune to help hype the crowd up even more. This year, the Golden State Warriors have set their sights back on their home base, the Bay Area, and looked to Jauz and P-Lo to tackle the creation of a new anthem for their home games this season.
Jauz and P-Lo are both Bay Area natives, making this electronic meets hip-hop match-up a perfect fit as they teamed up with Golden State Entertainment to release “Don’t Lose Your Head.” Not only does this track bring a house groove that turns the dial up a notch energy-wise, but it also brings in a dose of West Coast rap that will help get the crowd at Chase Center vibing to the beat just after halftime.
While Jauz and P-Lo’s styles are prominent throughout the tune, its roots go deeper as it pays homage to the original release from another Bay Area act, Zion I. “We wanted to honor Zion I’s iconic track while adding a fresh, high-energy twist to get fans hyped after halftime,” Jauz shared. “We reimagined the sample with P-Lo, blending his unmistakable West Coast rap with my signature production style. It’s all about keeping Warriors fans on their feet, in the moment, and ready for the second half.”
Listen to “Don’t Lose Your Head” on Spotify or your preferred platform, and keep your ears tuned if you’re attending a Golden State Warriors game this season to hear it live at the beginning of the third quarter.
