Breakaway Bay Area is returning this year for a spooktacular edition, and we have all the info you need to make this weekend flawless!
Despite the ever-changing landscape of music festivals, Breakaway Music Festival has not only avoided succumbing to the epidemic of canceled festivals but rather has blossomed into a nationwide success. First debuting in Ohio in 2016, the festival has since expanded to become a staple in various regions, with Breakaway Bay Area debuting in 2022. Now, the festival has announced an even bigger expansion, with six new cities in 2025, thanks to the support of attendees and various sponsors.
Before then, however, Breakaway fanatics are gearing up for the upcoming edition in the Bay Area this weekend. While often diverse, this year’s edition brings a fully stacked lineup with a range of artists, including Marshmello, RL Grime, Control Freak, DJ Susan, Joyryde b2b Habstrakt, Kumarion, Nitepunk, Wax Motif, and Anabel Englund. In true Breakaway fashion, there will also be a silent disco stage dedicated to supporting the local scene, where attendees can catch all kinds of local talent.

Unfortunately, during this festival season, many have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables.
